At the 21st Annual Sessions of the Ceylon Association for the Advancement of Science held at the University of Ceylon, Colombo, the proceedings on one day, 17th December 1965, of its Section D (Biological Sciences) were devoted to a Symposium on Fish Resources of Ceylon. The introductory address was given by Mr. S. S. H. Silva, the Director of Fisheries and the Chairman of the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation at that time.
