Nôtre lagune en peril: l 'écosystème lagunaire Ebrié bouleversé par les interventions humaines

On their way to a better economical situation, developing countries are now starting taking advantage of the technologies, which made developed countries successful. In doing so, they are starting being confronted to the same ecological problems. Such is the case in Côte d'Ivoire of the Ebrié lagoon in the Abidjan region, the delicate ecosystem of which is now in danger.

This paper collects most of the information gathered between October 1974 and July 1976 within the framework of a research program concerning the hydrobioclimate of ivorian lagoons and especially the Ebrié lagoon. Monthly surveys concerning the latter were carried out during 1975. The following parameters - and their vertical distribution wherever it had a meaning - were systematically gathered in a system of fifty-five stations: Transparency (Secchi), Temperature, Salinity, Chlorophylla, Dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, nitrite. These data provide an outline of the annual cycle of nutrients and primary production of the Ivoirian lagoons

Statistiques des peche des sardiniers ivoiriens - annee 1982

The fishing in 1982 has been oriented towards Sardinella aurita stock, which becomes the target species with 11.200 tons over 21.300 tons, taking the place of Sardinella maderensis, which reaches only 4,800 tons. The high abundance of this species explains the decrease of fishing effort.

This publication gives the results of the bottom trawlings made during the cruises Togo 3 and logo 4 by the oceanographic research vessel "Andre NIZERY" on the continental shelf of Togo during the estimation program of halieutic resources. This publication gives fishery statistics relating to the landings of the Ivorian trawlers in Abidjan in 1983. The data used are the inquiries made by the C.R.O. on the boats and the auction sheets of the fishing harbour. The data processing was executed on the C.R.O. computer.

Variation saisonniere des structures hydrologique et dynamique du plateau continental ivoirien (VASPI I, II, III)

This data report contains all the meteorological, hydrological and dynamic data gathered during the VASPI cruises (I : from December 8th to December 13th 1982, II : from March 5th to March 9th 1983, and III : from October 6th to October 10th 1983) carried out along the continental shelf of Ivory Coast by the oceanographic ship "Andre NIZERY". These cruises, which represent a part of a coastal programme, are included in the more general scientific program FOCAL, whose main scientific objective is the study of the thermal context of the intertropical atlantic area.

Statistiques de pêche en Lagune Aby (Côte d'Ivoire): la pêche a l'epervier (1988)

Cast net fishing is a relatively important socio-economíc activity in Aby lagoon. About 516 fishermen practice this activity for an annual total production estimated at 336 millions CFA, which represents 54,000 CFA per month. The catches are essentially composed of Cichlidae (88,7 %) and Mugilidae (2,8 %). The annual production represents 15 % of that of other types of gears used (beach seines, syndicat seines and gill nets).
