Headjogs is a well established hair academy within the Essex and East of London region. This work-based learning provider is run by Stephen Daly, Director, and Debbie Scott. Around six months ago, Debbie participated in the e-Guides programme, where she gained the expertise to implement innovative technology into the curriculum. Since then they have received Association of Learning Providers (ALP) Learner Innovation Grant funding with which they plan to reinforce their innovative approach to hairdressing.

By introducing the OneFile e–portfolio system, the Motor Vehicle department at Huntingdonshire Regional College has revolutionised its teaching and learning delivery, improved organisational efficiency, and helped students achieve qualifications quicker. Bundles of paper have been scrapped, students can now upload video and audio as reflective evidence, and assessors no longer have to go on unnecessary visits to collect papers and signatures. What's more, the department has saved time and money, diversified learning and made an impact on its carbon footprint.

The Adult Education Services from six local authorities in the North East joined forces to set-up a shared virtual learning environment (VLE) called TeesLearn. It provides their learners with new and inspiring learning opportunities and supports them across a rural and wide geographical area.
