Laser pulse shaping with liquid crystals (1982)

In this paper we report a new method of laser pulse shaping by the use of liquid crystals as non linear materials. The basis of this method is similar to the one reported by us for an hybrid optical bistable device, but with a different electronic circuitry and feedback.

Optical memory with TNLC devices (1982)

In this paper we describe a twisted nematic liquid crystal (TNLC) device structure with optical feedback capable of bistable operation and optical memory. Its structure is the conventional one as employed in hybrid optical bistability.
