This document shows the design of the radiating element of the conformal adaptive antenna of multiple planar arrays GEODA-SARAS. Operating from 2.05 to 2.3 GHz in the S-band with dual circular polarization in Tx and Rx, it is possible to track and communicate with several satellites because of its adaptive beam. The antenna is based on a set of similar triangular arrays which are divided in sub-arrays of five elements called cells.

New concepts in air navigation have been introduced recently. Among others, are the concepts of trajectory optimization, 4D trajectories, RBT (Reference Business Trajectory), TBO (trajectory based operations), CDA (Continuous Descent Approach) and ACDA (Advanced CDA), conflict resolution, arrival time (AMAN), introduction of new aircraft (UAVs, UASs) in air space, etc. Although some of these concepts are new, the future Air Traffic Management will maintain the four ATM key performance areas such as Safety, Capacity, Efficiency, and Environmental impact. So much, the performance of the ATM system is directly related to the accuracy with which the future evolution of the traffic can be predicted. In this sense, future air traffic management will require a variety of support tools to provide suitable help to users and engineers involved in the air space management. Most of these tools are based on an appropriate trajectory prediction module as main component. Therefore, the purposes of these tools are related with testing and evaluation of any air navigation concept before they become fully operative. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview to the design of a software tool useful to estimate aircraft trajectories adapted to air navigation concepts. Other usage of the tool, like controller design, vertical navigation assessment, procedures validation and hardware and software in the loop are available in the software tool. The paper will show the process followed to design the tool, the software modules needed to perform accurately and the process followed to validate the output data.

Allergens are responsible for the Th2 response in patients as part of complex mixtures of proteins, fatty acids and other molecules. Plant allergens have hitherto been included in several protein families that share no common biochemical features. Their physical, biochemical and immunological characteristics have been widely studied, but no definite conclusion has been reached about what makes a protein an allergen. N-glycosylation is characteristic of plant allergen sources but is not present in mammals.

Fertilization can be an interesting treatment to improve the different productions of the dehesa and to improve tree vigor. In order to evaluate the effect of different fertilizers of new generation on herbaceous pasture diversity and species composition, in this work we analyzed the effect of three treatments: control (natural pastures), fertization with 36 UF of P2O5 of a complex NPK and low content of N, and natural phosphates. Fertilization was applied in autumn of 2009, 2010 and 2011 and we analized herbaceous pastures composition and yield in springs of 2010, 2011 and 2012 (one control per year). The best results of production were obtained with the NPK application; also, pasture specific richness and diversity improved with the fertilization in years of average regime of precipitation.

The use of Biophotonic Sensing Cells (BICELLs) based on micro-nano pattemed photonic architectures has been recently proven as an efficient methodology for label-free biosensing by using Optical Interrogation [1]. According to this, we have studied the different optical response for a specific typology of BICELL, consisting of structures of SU -8. This material is biocompatible with different types of biomolecules and can be immobilized on its sensing surface. In particular, we have measured the optical response for a biomarker in clinic diagnostic of dry eye. Although different proteins can be enstudied such as: PRDX5, ANXA 1, ANXA 11, CST 4, PLAA Y S 1 OOA6 related with ocular surface (dry eye), for this work PLAA (phospholipase A2) is studied by means of label free biosensing based on BICELLs for analyzing the performance and specificity according with means values of concentration in ROC curves.

In this paper, we present an algorithm to create 3D segmentations of neuronal cells from stacks of previously segmented 2D images. The idea behind this proposal is to provide a general method to reconstruct 3D structures from 2D stacks, regardless of how these 2D stacks have been obtained. The algorithm not only reuses the information obtained in the 2D segmentation, but also attempts to correct some typical mistakes made by the 2D segmentation algorithms (for example, under segmentation of tightly-coupled clusters of cells). We have tested our algorithm in a real scenario?the segmentation of the neuronal nuclei in different layers of the rat cerebral cortex. Several representative images from different layers of the cerebral cortex have been considered and several 2D segmentation algorithms have been compared. Furthermore, the algorithm has also been compared with the traditional 3D Watershed algorithm and the results obtained here show better performance in terms of correctly identified neuronal nuclei.
