Resumo

The contemporary moment identifies a change in the level of exposure of the self. This chapter explores the historical development of our culture of exposure through various definitional paradigms from exposure as technological transformation, to exposure as risk and exhibition, and links it to the longer arc of exposure promulgated by celebrity culture and its associated industries
