Depressão na Adolescência: Um Estudo de Caso

Dissertação de Mestrado apresentada ao Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada para obtenção de grau de Mestre na especialidade de Psicologia Clínica.

O objectivo deste estudo é tentar perceber através de sinais e expressão de sintomas descritos por duas adolescentes, como e porquê de indivíduos na fase da adolescência esconderem por um determinado tempo (longo ou não) um grande sofrimento psíquico que, por vezes, pais e professores não conseguem detectar. Tentar perceber os sinais de alerta que estão por detrás de determinadas condutas, procedimentos e atitudes que por impossibilidade da relação que têm consigo mesmo e com os outros o adolescente não é capaz de manifestar e pedir ajuda. A fim de compreender esta fase particular da adolescência foram realizados dois estudos de caso com duas adolescentes do sexo feminino com 18 anos, ambas estudantes do 12º ano de escolaridade. Além da mesma idade e escolaridade, têm também em comum o facto de um dia precisarem de ajuda psicológica para o seu mau estar no HSM mais precisamente no Núcleo de Estudos do Suicídio.

In the context of the study on the theme of the depression in the adolescence, we propose to study through signs and expression of symptoms, the distance described by the adolescent one, in a situation of depressive problematic. How and why individuals in the phase of the adolescence they hide for a determined time (long or not) a great psychological suffering what, sometimes, parents and teachers do not manage to detect. Trying to realize the signs of alert that are behind of determined conducts, proceedings and attitudes what for impossibility of the relation that get even and with others the adolescent is not able to show and to ask help. In this context the present study intends to point out the methodology of used investigation, and the theoretical fundaments that supports it, through a case study, with an adolescent of the feminine sex with 18 years, student of the 12th year of schooling that one day needed psychological help in the HSM more precisely in the Nucleus of Studies of the Suicide where it began her treatment.
