Zum Kenntnisstand von Jugendlichen über gesundheitliche Beratungsangebote. Eine Bestandsaufnahme und ein Interventionsansatz

Obwohl eine Vielzahl von Institutionen zur Verfügung steht, an die Kinder und Jugendliche sich bei Schwierigkeiten und Problemen wenden können, bestehen häufig Informationsdefizite und Schwellenängste, die dazu beitragen, daß viele Betroffene keine hinreichende Unterstützung erhalten. In der vorliegenden Studie, an der 1225 Kinder und Jugendliche im Alter von 10 bis 18 Jahren teilnahmen, erfolgt eine Bestandsaufnahme der gegenwärtig bestehenden Defizite und Hemmnisse, indem der Kenntnisstand zu institutionellen Unterstützungsmöglichkeiten und die möglichen Gründe, Unterstützungsangebote anzunehmen bzw. nicht anzunehmen, erfragt wurden. Auf der Basis der Ergebnisse der Bestandsaufnahme wird ein Interventionskonzept entwickelt, das dem Abbau von Informationsdefiziten und Schwellenängsten dient und damit die Akzeptanz bestehender Beratungsangebote erhöhen soll. Despitc the existence of a great number of institutions which may be contacted by children and adolescents when they are faced with problems, there are often informatory deficiencies and anxieties to contact institutions which contribute to the fact that many afflicted children and adolescents do not get sufficient support. The present study conducted with 1225 children and adolescents aged 10 to 18 documents deficits and fears by asking about the knowledge about professional support systems and about reasons to accept or to reject professional support. Based on the results of this study an intervention program is developed which is aimed at raising the knowledge about support systems and at reducing fears and worries to rise the acceptance of existing support systems.
