Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education in the Information Society", Plovdiv, May, 2013 The paper presents a new educational program for motivated students „Academic research in Computer mathematics” which is optional for the students from an area of higher education 02.Tehnical sciences. The program focuses on the practical use of mathematics in all fields of engineering science and practice. All of the examples show the application of mathematics in engineering science and practice and using MATLAB and MuPAD to solve them.
