GESTÃO DE IES NA REGIÃO METROPOLITANA DE SÃO PAULO: PERCEPÇÃO DE GESTORES DA INFLUÊNCIA DE FATORES AMBIENTAIS

Esta pesquisa investigou a percepção de gestores de Instituições de Ensino Superior na Região Metropolitana de São Paulo visando compreender a influência dos fatores ambientais na gestão das IES através da proposição e validação de um modelo conceitual e um instrumento de pesquisa. A literatura apontou para uma convergência entre as teorias institucional, administração estratégica e gestão escolar de forma a mostrarem a influência de fatores ambientais externos e internos na gestão. A relevância deste trabalho verificou-se através de evidências empíricas tratadas na modelagem de equações estruturais que confirmou o modelo proposto apontando que os fatores ambientais externos são os que mais influenciam a gestão das IES na percepção dos respondentes. Desta forma o trabalho contribuiu para o preenchimento de uma lacuna existente nos estudos acadêmicos sobre a gestão escolar.(AU)

This research investigated the perception of managers of Superior Education Institutions in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo aiming at to understand the influence of the ambient factors in the management of the IES through the proposal and validation of a conceptual model and an instrument of research. Literature pointed with respect to a convergence between the theories institucional, strategical administration and pertaining to school management of form to show the influence of external and internal ambient factors in the management. The relevance of this work was verified through empirical evidences treated in the structural equations modelling that confirmed the considered model pointing that the external ambient factors are the ones that more influence the management of the IES in the perception of the respondents. In such a way the work contributed for the fulfilling of an existing gap in the academic studies on the pertaining to school management.(AU)
