Each volume of the reports includes a "mortuary roll" of the association, and, beginning with 1883, a "memorial book" containing memorials of members. (Cumulative indexes to the memorials have been included in each volume since 1910)

The first volume of annual reports was issued in 1882, and covers the years 1879-81 ; this was followed by annual volumes dated 1883- (containing reports for 1882- ) ; the reports for 1884-98 are numbered 14th-28th, respectively, as reckoned from the first year after the establishment of the association ; beginning with 1899 the numbering was discontinued
