Resumo |
Title from caption. The National Magazine was founded by William W. Williams in Cleveland under the title of Magazine of Western History. As the latter title indicated, the western states were the primary interest of the articles on the history and lives of pioneers. The exclusiveness of th "West" was dropped after moving the magazine to New York in 1888. Owing to the press of work, the publisher killed the journal in 1894. Henry J. Seymour, C.W. Butterfield, and W.H. Venable were contributors to the early volumes. Mode of access: Internet. |
