Some bibliographies divide the work into 2 parts, pt. 1, Histoire du voyage, t. 1; pt. 2, Observations scientifiques, t. 2-4. The set should comprise also an album of 100 plates, published in 16 "livraisons", 1838-48, wanting in this copy. cf. Vicaire. Vol. 1 is a second issue of the edition of 1840, with change of date only. Another edition has title corresponding to that of v. 2-4 in this copy, with designation "Tome premier". According to Vicaire, this copy of v. 1 wants a leaf of music. Title of v. 2-4: "... exécuté en 1837, sous la direction de M. Anatole de Demidoff, par M M. de Sainson, Le Play, Huot, Leveille, Raffet, Rousseau, de Nordmann, et Du Ponceau ..." Atlas has no t.-p. Engr. t.-p. Stafleu and Cowan (2nd ed.)
