This executive summary report summarizes the results of an alternative evaluation and preliminary design study for improvements to, or removal of, the Glen D. Palmer Dam in Yorkville, Illinois. This study was conducted to recommend the best method of improving the hydraulic conditions at the downstream face of the dam, reconnect the river with respect to fish movement, and provide safe canoe passage through the dam site. The recommended alternative was developed by working with a Citizen Advisory Committee to involve the public throughout the study. "OWR-04-001."
