Provides an overview of services offered by various institutions in Illinois that help the deaf-blind individual face the challenges of transition into an adult role in society, discusses weaknesses in the system, and suggests revisions and additions to the program. Presentations by representatives from the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois Transition Consortium, Community School District 300, Philip J. Rock Center, Illinois School for the Visually Impaired, Illinois School for the Deaf, parents of deaf-blind students and deaf-blind students themselves, are included in this report.
