"The Illinois Education Funding Advisory Board was created by Public Act 90-548 in December of 1997. Pursuant to the requirements in Section 5/18-8.05(M) of the Illinois School Code [105 ILCS 5/18.8.05], the Education Funding Advisory Board, in consultation with the State Board of Education, shall make recommendations to the General Assembly for the foundation level and for the supplemental General State Aid grant level for districts with high concentrations of children from poverty. The Education Funding Advisory Board is to make such recommendations to the General Assembly on January 1 of odd numbered years, beginning January 1, 2001." Mode of access: Internet. |
