Resumo |
Title from caption. Intended to be chiefly an authentic record of facts and events. The most popular subject areas were: geography, education and recent discoveries, the state of domestic and international railroads and banks. The "Chronology" section listed important events by date, so that each volume contained a complete listing of one year's events. Some humorous sketches appeared, and articles were illustrated with many maps and pictures.--Cf. American periodicals, 1741-1900. Mode of access: Internet. |
