Resumo

Binding: Contemporary Niger morocco; gold-stamped title on front board; leather clasps; stamped on inside of back board "C. & C. McLeish".

Title and historiated initial in gold on first page of text. First two pages of text within a wide illuminated border of birds and animals surrounded by floral and leaf sprays. Ten illustrations in the text, numerous decorated initials, marginal notes in red.

Calligraphy and illumination by Edward Johnston. Eric Gill is thought to have executed some of the work on the illustrations and the ms. probably was completed while Johnston and Gill were living and working at 16 Old Buildings, Lincoln's Inn, London, ca. 1904.
