In 1900-08 the Mitteilungen and the Anzeiger were issued quarterly in the same covers (cover-title: Anzeiger) with separate t.-p. and paginatin, the latter being paged in roman. In 1909 the two became independent, the Mitteilungen issued annually, the Anzeiger quarterly.
The first two parts of the Mitteilungen were issued as supplements to the Anzeiger, 1. Bd., 1.-2. Hft., 1884-85.
In 1884 the museum began the publication of "Mitteilungen" and "Anzeiger," which two periodicals took the place of "Anzeiger für Kunde der deutschen Vorzeit," ed. by the museum, 1853-83.
