Possibilities of shelterbelt planting in the plains region. A study of tree planting for protective and ameliorative purposes as recently begun in the shelterbelt zone of North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas by the Forest service; together with information as to climate, soils, and other conditions affecting land use and tree growth in the region.
