The second part ends with the death of Lope de Aguirre in 1561. The first part of Aguado's historical work, the original ms. of which has title "Primera parte de la recopilacion historial resolutoria de Sancta Marta y Nuebo Reyno de Granada de la Iudias ..." was published at Bogotá, 1906, with title: "Recopilación historial; escrita en el siglo XVI", and at Madrid, 1916-17, with title "Historia de Santa Marta y Nuevo Reino de Granada".
