Some empirical-theoretical considerations of uranium nitride in zirconium /

Resumo

In this paper our method is critically examined to obtain a better understanding of the complexities of the system.

If the uranium becomes atomically dispersed either as solid solution, or as a compound, in the zirconium, the process is unsuccessful.

The uranium is used in the form of uranium nitride.

Recent interest in the incorporation of U235 in zirconium as discrete particles of controlled size has resulted in our development of an apparently successful process.
