Includes landscape drawings of scenes in Maryland, Hudson River, and Mississippi River.

Illustrations: 17 aquatints (13 of them hand-colored), including two added half-title pages by John Hill after E. van Blon; 15 soft ground etchings, all but nos. 1, 4 and 7 signed by Joseph Cone, and 6 engravings, nos. 4 and 6 signed by J.D. Nicholson.

Part 3 has engraved hand-colored half title: Practical perspective.

Added, engraved half title is hand-colored aquatint.
