Resumo

A Sufi commentary on Chapter 112 of the Qur'an.

Written in a naskh hand in black ink, 15 lines per page, with catchwords on the verso of each leaf.

The ms. is in a fragile state, water-stained and with some worm damage. There is a slight loss of text.

Laid paper. 17.7 x 13.3 cm. (13.5 x 8 cm.).

Unbound.

A quotation (fāʼidah) from al-Shaykh al-Akbar [i.e., Ibn ʻArabī] in a different hand is on f. 1r.

According to the colophon (f. 6r), this is an autograph copy completed in 21 Ṣafar 1051 AH [May 31, 1641 AD] upon request of Aḥmad al-Sarākisī (f. 6r).

Probably written in Damascus.

Folios were misplaced during repair. Their correct order is: 1 5 3 4 2 6.
