Map showing the whole of New Jersey and its borders with as well as part of Pennsylvania and New York. Map is drawn in black ink with green, pink, and yellow watercolors used to show features such as waterways, borders, and places of interest. Notes on map concern border disputes between New Jersey and New York. Manuscript map drawn on 6 sheets of beige laid paper slightly overlapped, adhered together, and backed with linen; with manuscript notes signed in brown ink by Bernard Ratzer and notarized by James Emott. Also with a red paste and paper embossed seal. Map rolled and stored in a custom box. MS Am 2980. Houghton Library, Harvard University. In English. |
