Almanac with sporadic annotations on the calendar pages and interleaved with entries in John Winthrop's hand for the months of January-April. The entries record Winthrop's social engagements and travel, with only occasional notes of the weather. There is also a folded interleaved leaf after the December page with scientific observations and a description of the Boston massacre (March 5). The cover is inscribed "For John Winthrop, Cambridge." The volume is interleaved. |
