Sin Nombre virus is a strain of Hantavirus that causes the sometimes fatal human illness Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome. The reservoir host of SNV is the deer mouse. Deer mice are found in a wide variety of habitats including peridomestic (in and around buildings) settings.
