Resumo

This paper discusses an interpretive project based on online management education experiences and concludes that the teacher's task in relation to hermeneutics contains elements that contradict the implied sense of ease the simplified hermeneutic ideal presupposes. In the study of these problems, the struggle of theory with practice, this paper presents an applied perspective of the translation oftheory into practice that may assist practitioners and theorists alike. The aim is to contextually critique hermeneutics in a terse but constructive mannerfor those involved in online management education and related fields.<br />
