La política exterior israelí: una aproximación a la identidad de Israel frente a Egipto (2000 - 2012)

La presente monografía busca estudiar la posibilidad de reconfiguración de la identidad del Estado de Israel a partir del papel que desempeña un Estado como Egipto en Medio Oriente. La adopción de la visión constructivista de Alexander Wendt, permite hacer un énfasis en las interacciones y la visión del otro, y ubicar la identidad israelí en el eje central del documento. De esta manera, las percepciones permiten explicar la construcción identitaria que da forma al escenario regional. Por último, se podrá determinar la relación e importancia de la identidad en la política exterior reflejado en las actuaciones por parte de Israel frente a actores claves en la región, como son Irán, Siria y Arabia Saudi.

The present paper wants to study the possibility of the Israeli’s identity reconfiguration based on the role that a country like Egypt plays in the Middle East. By adopting Alexander Wendt’s vision on constructivism, we can emphasize on the interactions and the others’ view and by placing the Israeli identity in the middle of the document. In this way, perceptions allows us to explain the identity construction that shapes the regional scene. Lastly, we may resolve the relation and importance of the identity in foreign policy reflected in the Israeli behavior regarding key actors in the region, like, Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia.
