Un Techo Para Mi País Colombia (UTPMPC)

Ésta tesis es la descripción del caso de Un Techo Para Mi País Colombia, en donde el objetivo es evidenciar el propósito de la misma en un contexto gubernamental y normativo poco claro para con las ONG pares y los voluntarios participantes. Por otro lado se deslumbra una de las formas en que se puede desarrollar el trabajo de la ONG apoyados del modelo expuesto por María Nieves Tapia en su documento de “aprendizaje y servicio solidario”, y otros modelos utilizados como ejemplo de carácter mundial. La metodología utilizada en esta tesis fue “Building theory from case study research” del autor Kathleen M. Eisenhardt, en donde se expuso el caso de Un Techo Para Mi País Colombia, se argumentó con teoría lo descrito anteriormente y se obtuvo como resultado una nueva teoría que a su ves también se argumento con ejemplos de casos internacionales y de UTPMPC. Todo esto apoyado por entrevistas que fueron aplicadas a diferentes voluntarios que participan y participaron del proyecto, preguntándoles en que forma vivieron el paso por la ONG y en que harían para mejorarla. Después de aplicar dicha metodología se logro establecer que el voluntariado en una ONG puede llegar a cambiar la forma de pensar de los estudiantes enfocando el fin último de las profesiones, haciéndolos más cercanos y consientes de su labor social dentro de la sociedad. También se logro establecer que cada una de los grandes sectores de la sociedad (Gubernamental, Privado, ONG y Académico), proponen nuevas alternativas y metas para obtener una sociedad mejorada, pero si en algún momento se lograse reunir cada uno de estas instituciones sumadas a los líderes comunitarios, se puede fundamentar una base solida con resultados visibles a mediano y largo plazo.

This thesis is the description of the case of Un Techo Para Mi País Colombia, where the objective is to show the purpose of it in a governmental and regulatory context unclear for similar NGOs and participating volunteers. Furthermore it shows a way in which they can develop the work of the NGOs supported on the model presented by Maria Nieves Tapia in her paper "Service Learning" and other models used as an example of a global nature. The methodology used in this thesis was "Building theory from case study research" author Kathleen M. Eisenhardt, where he presented the case of Un Techo Para Mi País Colombia; argued with theory what was described above and it was obtained as a result a new theory argued also with international and UTPMPC examples. All this supported by interviews that were applied to different volunteers involved and that participated in the project, and also asked them how was their experience in the NGO and what would they do to improve it. After applying this methodology, it establishes that volunteering in an NGO might change the thinking of students approaching the ultimate goal of the professions, making them closer and more aware of their social role in society. Also, it establishes that each of the major sectors of society (Government, Private, NGOs and Academic), propose alternatives and goals for a better society, but if at any time they are brought together each of these institutions coupled with community leaders, can support a solid base with visible results in medium and long terms.
