Presentation at Open Repositories 2014, Helsinki, Finland, June 9-13, 2014 Fedora Interest Group Presentations 24x7 Presentations The Art Institute of Chicago is transforming its Collections storage and management systems from an almost monolithic architecture to a more standards-based, service-oriented one in order to keep up with our growing need to share and reuse resources across our wide and diverse range of departments, and to disseminate public data on the web. We have been following the development of Fedora 4 since its earliest alpha releases. Thanks to a mutually beneficial collaboration with the Fedora team, we have been testing and discovering many new powerful features that we are planning to leverage in our future architecture. This presentation aims to be a use case description focused on Fedora's new features and on what we expect to be maintained and improved from the previous version, as well as describing some solutions that we are formulating based on Fedora's capabilities. |
