LOCKSS-O-Matic is an open-source web application that automates the population of Private LOCKSS Networks (PLNs). It does this by acting as a broker between repository platforms and other applications such as Content Management Systems (using the SWORD protocol) and one or more PLNs. This automation removes many of the barriers to deploying Private LOCKSS Networks and offers increased opportunities for providing cost-effective, secure, geographically distributed bit-level preservation services for a wide variety of repository platforms.
