Tuotemallin ylläpito- ja pienkehitysprosessin kehittäminen

Työn tavoitteena oli selvittää yrityksen tuotekehitysorganisaation tuoteylläpitotoiminnan nykytila ja kartoittaa sen mahdolliset ongelmakohdat sekä kehityskohteet. Lisäksi tavoitteena oli vertailla yrityksen toimintamalleja toisen yrityksen vastaavaan organisaatioon kartoitettujen ongelmakohtien pohjalta, ja laatia kehitysehdotus ongelmien ratkaisemiseksi. Tutkimusmenetelminä käytettiin nykytilaselvityksessä semistrukturoituja asiantuntijahaastatteluja ja vertailututkimusta (engl. benchmarking). Kehitysehdotuksen laatimisen tueksi työhön sisältyi myös kirjallisuuskatsaus, jossa käsiteltiin esimerkiksi tuotteen elinkaarenhallintaa, konfiguraationhallintaa ja prosessijohtamista. Nykytilaselvityksen tuloksena oli kuvaus yrityksen tuoteylläpidontoiminnasta sekä havaituista ongelmakohdista. Vertailututkimuksen tuloksena saatiin kuvaus kohdeyrityksen kartoitettuihin ongelmakohtiin liittyvistä toimintamalleista, sekä joitain ratkaisuvaihtoehtoja. Nykytilaselvityksen ja vertailututkimuksen tulosten sekä kirjallisuuskatsauksen perusteella laadittu kehitysehdotus perustuu konfiguraationhallintasuunnitelman pohjaan, johon on sisällytetty kaikki ratkaisuehdotukset. Kehitysehdotuksessa esitetyt ratkaisuehdotukset vastaavat lähtökohtaisesti kartoitettuihin ongelmakohtiin, mutta ne vaativat vielä jatkokehittelyä. Työn tulokset toimivat pohjana yksityiskohtaisemmalle suunnittelulle ja jatkokehittelylle.

The aim of this thesis was to clarify present state of product maintenance operations in R&D organization of a company and to find out possible problems and targets for development. In addition, based on the founded problems, the aim was to compare the clarified operations models to another company’s corresponding organization and to prepare development proposal to solve the founded problems. The methods used in this thesis were semi-structured theme interviews and benchmarking. Also, to support the preparation of the development proposal, a literature review related to e.g. PLM, CM and process management, was made. The results of the present state clarification were a description of product maintenance operations models of the company and founded problems. Benchmarking results were descriptions of the other company’s operations models related to founded problems and some possible solutions for the problems. Based on the results of present state clarification and benchmarking, and literature review, development proposal was prepared, resulting a template of a configuration management plan which included all the solution proposals. In the abstract, the solutions proposals introduced in the development proposal correspond to the founded problems, but they still require further development. The results of this thesis work as a base for more detailed design and development.
