Maksuehtojen vaikutus käyttöpääoman ja asiakkuuksien hallinnassa - casetutkimus

Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on tarkastella maksuehtojen ja niiden aiheuttamien kustannusten merkitystä käyttöpääoman ja asiakkuuksien hallinnassa. Tavoitteena on selvittää maksuehtojen kohdeyritykselle mahdollisesti aiheuttamia kustannuksia ja niiden vaikutusta käyttöpääomaan ja asiakaskannattavuuksiin. Tutkimuksen teoriaosuuden muodostaa käyttöpääoman ja asiakkuuksien hallinnan kirjallisuuskatsaus. Pääpaino on ostovelkojen ja myyntisaatavien hallinnassa sekä asiakaslaskentatoimen laskentamenetelmissä. Tutkimuksen empiriaosuus käsittelee kohdeyrityksen maksuehtojen kautta teoriaosassa esitettyjä aihealueita. Johtopäätöksenä voidaan todeta, että kohdeyrityksen tämän hetkisillä maksuehdoilla ei ole suurta negatiivista vaikutusta yrityksen käyttöpääomaan. Maksuehdoista aiheutuneiden kustannusten merkitys asiakaskannattavuuksissa korostuu enemmän pienten kuin suurten asiakkaiden kohdalla.

The aim of the study is to examine the effect of the terms of payments and of the costs caused by them on both working capital management and customer relationship management. The objective is to clarify the possible costs affected to the target company by the terms of payment and their effect on the working capital and customer profitability. The theoretical part of the study is formed by the literature review of both working capital and customer relationship management. The accounting methods of the customer accounting and the management of both accounts payables and sales receivables are emphasized. The empirical part of the study covers the topics presented in the theoretical part of the study through the payment terms of the target company. As a conclusion, it can be stated that the current terms of payments of the target company have no remarkable negative effect on the working capital of the company. The costs affected by the terms of payments in customer profitability are more significant for smaller customers than for bigger customers.
