Tuotannon tunnuslukujen analysointi ja kehittäminen kourukoneilla

Sisäisen suorituskyvyn tehostaminen on yrityksille jatkuvan kehityksen prosessi. Diplomityön tarkoituksena oli selvittää Paroc Oy Ab:n kourukoneiden suorituskykymittarit sekä analysoida ja kehittää niitä. Lisäksi selvitettiin suorituskykyä kuvaavat raporttimallit eri tuotantopaikkakunnilta ja kehitettiin niitä. Teoriaosuudessa kerrotaan, mitä suorituskyvyllä tarkoitetaan sekä käydään läpi sen eri osa-alueita. Siinä esitetään myös suorituskyvyn mittaamista sekä kuinka mittareita suunnitellaan ja rakennetaan. Työn painopiste on kuitenkin empiirisessä osuudessa, jossa ensin kerrotaan työn kohteena olevien kourukoneiden tuotantoprosessi ja tämän jälkeen paneudutaan suorituskykymittareihin ja niiden analysointiin sekä raporttimalleihin. Lopuksi esitetään työn aikana esille nousseita kehitysehdotuksia. Tunnuslukujen selvittämisen tuloksena havaittiin, että kirjallisuus tukee käytössä olevia mittareita. Työssä kerättiin tuotantodataa kourukoneilta usean vuoden aikajaksolta. Datasta valmisteltiin mallit, joita käytettiin mittarien analysointiin. Analysoinnin tuloksena kävi ilmi, että mittarien tarjoama tieto oli joiltakin osin puutteellista ja näin ollen päätöksentekijälle harhaanjohtavaa. Raporttimallit eivät olleet yhtenäisiä paikkakuntien välillä, mikä toi epävarmuutta tuloksiin laskentaperiaatteiden osalta. Työn lopputuloksena tehtiin käytössä oleville suorituskykymittareille kehitysehdotuksia tarkemman ja laadukkaamman tiedon takaamiseksi. Työssä esitettiin myös uusia mittariehdotuksia. Raporttimallit yhtenäistettiin uuden tuotannonohjausjärjestelmän tuomien mahdollisuuksien myötä.

It’s a continuous development process for companies to boost internal performance. The aim for the thesis was to clarify the key performance indicators of Paroc Oy Ab’s pipe section machines and also analyze and develop those. In addition to that the report models that are showing performance were clarified and developed from all production sites. The meaning and different areas of performance is explained in the theory part of the thesis. The theory part includes also measuring of performance and how key figures are planned and built. The focus however is on empirical part where the production process of pipe section machines is first explained. After that the concentration is on key performance indicators, the analysis of those and on report models. Finally the development suggestions that have come up are introduced. After the clarification of key figures was made it was noticed that the theory was supporting the indicators that were used. Production data was gathered in the thesis from pipe section machines and the time range was several years. Such models were prepared from the data that were used for analyzing the indicators. It came out as a result for analyzing that the information provided by the indicators were insufficient with some parts and thus misleading for the decision-maker. Every production site had their own report model which was bringing uncertainty to results from the calculation principles point of view. As a final result for the thesis development suggestions were made for key performance indicators to ensure better quality and more precise information. New key performance indicators were also introduced in the thesis. Report models were harmonized with the help of new production control system.
