Nykyään projektityö on erittäin yleistä katsomatta toimialaan tai yritysten kokoon. Projektiestimointi on olennainen osa onnistuneen hankkeen läpiviennissä. Työssä käsitellään projektin alkuvaiheessa tapahtuvaan arviontiprosessiin liittyvää teknistä ja taloudellista estimointia. Työssä perehdytään työmäärien estimointimenetelmiin sekä taloudellisen ennusteen rakentamiseen.

In today's business project work is very common. Projects are executed in various business areas and in firms of all size. Project estimation is an important part of successful project. This study deals with the estimation process which takes place in the initial phases of the project. Both technical and financial aspects of project estimation are covered in the study. The study handles with few estimation techniques related to project scope and work capacity estimation and financial forecasting.
