Luottamuksen rooli muutosjohtamisessa

Pro gradu – tutkielman tavoitteena oli tutkia luottamuksen roolia muutosjohtamisessa. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää luottamuksen tukemisen ja rakentamisen keinoja muutosjohtamisen tueksi muutosprosessin eri osa-alueilla. Tutkimusaineisto kerättiin kvalitatiivisten teemahaastattelujen avulla. Haastattelujen osiot liitettiin tutkimuksen empiiriseen osaan. Tutkimuksen perusteella saatiin selkeä kuva siitä, mihin luottamus vaikuttaa, miten sitä rakennetaan ja mitkä ovat sen seuraamukset muutosprosessin eri osa-alueilla. Tutkimuksen kohteena oleva organisaatioiden välinen vapaaehtoinen ja sopimuspohjainen verkostoyhteistyö ei olisi onnistunut ilman luottamusta. Luottamuksen merkitys muutosjohtamisprosessissa tulee tiedostaa ja siihen tulee kiinnittää tietoisesti huomiota koko prosessin ajan. Muutos on johdettava ja luottamuksen rakentaminen on osa sitä prosessia.

The main objective of this Master´s Thesis was to study the role of trust in change management. The aim of the research was to study promoting and building trust in different stages of change management process. The empirical material was collected through qualitative interviews. Applicable results of these interviews were attached to the thesis. My research results give a clear picture of what trust has an effect on, how trust is built and what are the consequences of trust in the different stages of change process. The network based voluntary and contract bound collaboration between organizations that was the focus of my research, would not have been possible without trust. The importance of trust in a process of change management needs to be acknowledged and paid attention to during the whole process. Change has to be managed and building trust is a part of this process.
