LVI- ja sähköurakoinnin raportoinnin kehittäminen IT-palveluyrityksessä

Työn tavoitteena oli kehittää LVI- ja sähköurakointitoimialan asiakkaille tarjottavaa raportointia IT-palveluyrityksessä. Raportoinnin tulisi soveltua paremmin yrityksen ohjaamiseen ja sen avulla yrityksen tulisi tietää kannattavuutensa, rahoitustilanteensa ja liiketoimintansa kehityssuunnat. Tarkoituksena oli suunnitella raportointimalli, joka soveltuu toimialan pienten ja keskisuurten yritysten käyttöön. Tutkimus toteutettiin konstruktiivisena eli tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli luoda uusi ratkaisumalli käytännön ongelmaan. Konstruktion rakentamiseksi työssä selvitettiin LVI- ja sähköurakoinnin erityispiirteitä, yrityksen ohjaukseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä ja menetelmiä sekä raportoinnin periaatteellista ja teknistä toteuttamista. Näiden osa-alueiden avulla luotiin raportointimallille vaatimukset, jotka sen tulisi täyttää. Tämän jälkeen kuvattiin raportoinnin nykyinen tekninen toteutustapa ja sen sisältämät osa-alueet. Selvitettyjen vaatimusten ja nykyisen raportoinnin ongelmien perusteella luotiin alustava raportointimalli, jonka käytännön merkitys selvitettiin haastattelemalla 11 LVI- ja sähköurakointiyrityksen vastuunalaista johtajaa. Haastatteluista saatiin selville, että kahdeksan johtajaa olisi ollut valmis käyttämään konstruktiota. Alustavan raportointimallin ja haastatteluista saadun palautteen perusteella luotiin ehdotus raportointimallista toimialalla. Lisäksi IT-palveluyrityksen nykyiselle raportointimallille luotiin kolmivaiheinen kehityssuunnitelma, jolla raportointia voidaan kehittää luodun raportointimallin mukaiseksi.

The objective of this master’s thesis was to develop a reporting template offered to HPAC and electrical contracting companies by an IT service company. The reporting template should support management control so that through reports the companies are aware of their profitability, financial situation and business trends. The target group for the template was especially small and medium-sized companies of the HPAC and electrical contracting industry. The study was carried out by using the constructive research method. The aim of the method was to create a new solution model for a practical problem namely the fact that at the moment the reporting doesn’t support management control well enough. The first phase in development process was to define special features of HPAC and electrical contracting, the components that affect management control and fundamental and technical the methods of reporting. These three areas define theoretical requirements of the reporting template. The second phase in the process was to describe the current reporting method and its problems. A reporting model was created based on the requirements and the problems of the current template. The practical significance of the model was tested by interviewing 11 CEOs of HPAC and electrical contracting companies. 8 of 11 interviewees were ready to use the model in their work. Based on the feedback from the interviews and the created reporting model a recommendation for a reporting template in the industry was made. In addition a three-phased development plan for reporting was created for the IT service company.
