World Class Manufacturing (WCM) aineettoman pääoman johtamisen työkaluna

Tämän kvalitatiivisen tutkimuksen tavoitteena on tarkastella jatkuvan pa-rantamisen työkalun, WCM:n, roolia aineettoman pääoman johtajana. Tutkimuksen teoreettisessa osassa selvitetään aineettoman pääoman eri muotoja; inhimillistä, suhde- ja rakennepääomaa. Lisäksi tutkitaan WCM:n ideologiaa, sen käyttöönottoa ja eri osa-alueita. Teoriaosan lopussa selvite-tään WCM:n ja aineettoman pääoman yhteyttä toisiinsa ja niiden vaikutusta suorituskykyyn. Teoriaa tukemaan tehtiin empiirinen tutkimus case -organisaatiossa haastattelemalla organisaation toimihenkilöitä sekä työntekijöitä. Empiirisen tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää case –organisaation jatkuvan parantamisen mallin kehitystarpeita WCM:n ja inhimillisen pääoman näkö-kulmasta. Tutkimustulokset osoittivat, että WCM:llä voidaan johtaa aineettoman pää-oman eri muotoja – saaden siten myös suorituskykyä paremmaksi.

The purpose of this qualitative thesis is to examine the role of continuous improvement tool, WCM, as a management tool of intellectual capital. The sectors of intellectual capital; human, relationship and structure capital, are researched in the theoretical part of the thesis. In addition the ideology, implementation and different parts of WCM are studied. The connection be-tween WCM and intellectual capital and their impacts to the performance are studied in the end of theoretical part of thesis. To support the theory the empirical research was made in the case organisation by interviewing the blue- and white-collar employees. The purpose of empirical research was to clarify the improvement needs of present continuous improvement model from the perspective of WCM and intellectual capital. The research results showed that the different sectors of intellectual capital can be managed by WCM - resulting to the improved performance as well.
