Elinkaarikustannusanalyysi teknologiayrityksessä

Työn tavoitteena oli suunnitella ja toteuttaa elinkaarikustannusten laskentasovellus teknologiaympäristössä. Ensin luotiin elinkaarikustannuslaskennalle viitekehys ja työlle teoreettinen pohja kirjallisuuslähteiden perusteella. Varsinainen tutkimus aloitettiin strategisille asiakkaille suunnatulla tutkimuksella heidän käyttämistään sovelluksista elinkaarikustannusten laskentaan, laskennan menetelmistä sekä yhteistyön kannalta oleellisista kustannusparametreista. Lisäksi selvitettiin yrityksen omat tarpeet laskennalle.Seuraavaksi kartoitettiin markkinoilta löytyviä sovelluksia elinkaarikustannusten hallintaan, joista valittiin neljä tarkempaan vertailuun aiemmin selvitettyjen vaatimusten perusteella. Vaihtoehtona harkittiin myös oman laskentasovelluksen kehittämistä, mutta todettiin vertailussa löytyneen valmiin ohjelmiston täyttävän sovellukselle asetetut vaatimukset niin hyvin, ettei oman sovelluksen suunnittelun katsottu olevan tarpeellista.Lopuksi muokattiin valittu sovellus toimimaan tulevassa käyttöympäristössä ja luotiin käytön kannalta oleelliset tietokannat elinkaarikustannusten laskennassa tarvittaville lähtötiedoille. Samalla luotiin myös toimintarutiinit ja jaettiin vastuut sovelluksen tulevaa käyttöä ja tietokantojen päivitystä varten. Tutkimuksen tuloksena saatiin yrityksen käyttöön luotua sekä yrityksen että asiakkaiden vaatimukset täyttävä sovellus elinkaarikustannusten laskentaan.

The aim of this thesis was to design and realise a calculation application for life cycle costs in technology environment. At first the frame of reference for life cycle cost calculation and theoretical background of this thesis were created on the basis of literature. The actual study began with customer research for strategic accounts about their applications and methods in life cycle cost calculation and also about cost parameters, which were important for the fluency of co-operation. Also company’s own needs regarding the calculation were studied.Next task was to search the market for suitable application for life cycle cost calculation, and four of them were chosen for more detailed comparison on the basis of the constraints from the customer research. As an option was also considered a possibility to develop own application from the scratch, but one of the applications in the comparison fulfilled the given constraints so perfectly, that own development was not considered feasible any more.In the end the chosen application was modified for its operational environment in the future, which included also the creation of databases of input parameters needed for the use of the system. Also the responsibilities and routines in operation and future update of the application and databases were determined. As a result of this research the company received an application for life cycle cost calculation, which could fulfil the constraints set by both the customers and the company itself.
