Kuljetusyrityksen toimintaedellytysten analysointi

Tämä tutkimus on tehty Lappeenrannan Teknillisessä Korkeakoulussa erään kuljetusyhtiön toimeksiannosta. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää, millainen on erään pienen tytäryhtiön nykytila sen toimiessa samalla liiketoiminta-alueella ja osittain myös samalla markkina-alueella konsernin emoyhtiön kanssa. Tutkittavan yhtiön toiminnassa on myös lukuisia muita ongelmia, kuten puutteet operatiivisessa johdossa, toiminnan kausiluonteisuus sekä lisääntynyt kilpailijoiden uhka.Tutkimus on suoritettu käyttäen perusrunkona strategiatyön näkökulmaa. Yhtiön nykytilaa on analysoitu käyttämällä yritysanalyysiä, toimiala-analyysiä sekä SWOT-analyysiä. Tietoja yriyksestä on kerätty haastattelemalla yhtiön omistajia ja henkilökuntaa sekä osallistumalla aktiivisesti yhtiön jokapäiväiseen toimintaan.Tehtyjen analyysien perusteella työssä on arvioitu, mitkä ovat yhtiön toimintaedellytykset tulevaisuudessa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on toimia pohjana, kun yhtiön johto tekee päätöksiä tulevaisuuden strategioista.

This thesis has been done at the Lappeenranta University of Technology upon an order by one transporting company. The aim of this work is to find out the current state of affairs of one subsidiary, witch acts at the same line of business than it’s mother corporation. There are also other problems in the company, like the failings in managements, seasonal employment and the increasing threat of the competitors.This work is based on the strategicwork angle. The current state of affairs of the company has been analyzed by using corporate analysis, industry analysis and SWOT-analysis. The information about the company has been collected by interviewing owners and employers of the firm and by taking part of the everyday’s business.On the groud of the results of these analysis there has been estimated, witch are the possibilities in business of the company in the future. The purpose of this thesis is to be as a ground, when the management of the company makes decisions about the future.
