Tuotekehitysprosessin organisaatiolähtöinen kehittäminen

Työn tavoitteena oli kohdeyrityksen tuotekehitysprosessin tehostaminen. Tuotekehitysprosessin tulee huomioida sekä kaikki työvaiheet ideasta tuotantoon että kaikki tuotteen tehokkaaseen lanseeraukseen vaikuttavat toiminnot. Tuotekehitysprosessin pitää tukea rinnakkaissuunnittelua, jossa tuotteen ominaisuuksia, valmistettavuutta ja markkinointia kehitetään samanaikaisesti. Työssä käytetyt teoriat perustuvat alan kirjallisuudessa ja lehtiartikkeleissa esitettyihin malleihin tuotekehitysprosessista ja rinnakkaissuunnittelusta. Kuitenkin työ on tehty nimenomaan kohdeyrityksen tarpeisiin huomioimalla kehityksessä kaikkien prosessiin osallistuvien toimintojen näkemys tarvittavista tehtävistä. Työn tuloksena kehitettiin elektronisessa muodossa yrityksen sisäisessä tietoverkossa oleva kuvaus tuotekehitysprosessin rinnakkaisesta etenemisestä ja päätöksenteosta sekä siihen liitetty vaiheittainen toimintaohjeisto kaikille kehitystyöhön osallistuville organisaatiotahoille. Uusi tuoteprosessi luo edellytykset yhtenäiseen ja tehokkaaseen uusien tuotteiden markkinoille saattamiseen. Elektroninen rakenne helpottaa prosessin käytettävyyttä ja jatkuvaa kehittämistä. Prosessin tulee kehittyä jokaisen tuotekehitysprojektin yhteydessä.

The purpose of the thesis was to develop the product development process in the company. The product development process has to cater to all the necessary steps from idea to launch. It also has to cater to all corporate functions needed in efficient launch. Product development process has to support concurrent engineering, where the features, manufacturability and marketing of the product are developed concurrently. The theories used are based on literature and articles of the field describing product development processes and concurrent engineering. The development process is still designed to meet the company’s needs by catering to all corporate functions views on the tasks needed. The result of the thesis is a description of the concurrent progress and the decision making of the product development process and the gradual electronic instructions to all participant organization attached to the description. The product process provides the opportunities to unite and efficient new product development. The electronic construction eases the usability and continuous improvement of the process. The process needs to develop after each product development project.
