Energiantuotanto kuivalla puupolttoaineella

Diplomityössä esitetään taustatietona puupolttoaineen ominaisuuksien vaikutusta energiantuotantolaitoksen mitoitukseen ja käyttöön. Työssä esitellään ensimmäisessä vaiheessa tehty laskentamalli, jolla on tehty 20 MW laitoksen mitoitus kolmelle eri polttoaineen kosteudelle. Mitoitustulosten perusteella määritellään jokaiselle laitokselle energiantuotantohinta, joita vertaillaan. Vertailun avulla saadaan tieto siitä, onko uusi laitos syytä mitoittaa kuivatulle puupolttoaineelle investointisäästöjen vuoksi. Työssä tarkastellaan myös risutukkien ominaisuuksia, hyödyntämismahdollisuuksia sekä niiden varastokuivatuksen taloudellisuutta.

For basis, the effects of differences in wood fuel's features to the dimensioning and usage of an energy production plant will be presented in this Master's thesis. A dimensioning model, which was done at first stage, will be presented. 20 MWth energy production plant was dimensioned with the dimensioning model for three different moisture contents of wood fuel. With the dimensioning results a cost of produced energy was defined for all plants. These costs were compared to find out if a new plant should be dimensioned for dried wood fuel because of the savings in investment. The features, utilization possibilities and economy of storage drying of logging residue bundles will also be handled.
