Viestintä- ja henkilöhakupalvelu liikkuville käyttäjille

Matkapuhelin on nopeasti muuttunut puhevälineestä monipuoliseksi kommunikointilaitteeksi, joka mahdollistaa eri tyyppisten yhteydenpitomenetelmien käytön suurelle osalle maailman väestöä. Nykyään palvelusovellusten toteuttaminen matkapuhelimiin on mahdollista myös muille osapuolille kuin matkapuhelimien valmistajille. Tässä diplomityössä esitellään matkapuhelinoperaattorin toteuttama viestintä- ja henkilöhakupalvelu liikkuville käyttäjille, joka yhdistää yhden mobiilipalvelun alle henkilöstöhakupalvelun sekä useita viestintämenetelmiä. Diplomityössä esiteltävä mobiilipalvelu on toteutettu WAP-teknologian avulla. Mobiilipalvelu on osa TeliaSoneralla palvelukonseptina toteutettua SME-viestintäjärjestelmää (Smart Messaging Exchange), jonka tavoitteena on pilotoida viestintä- ja läsnäolotietopalveluita. Tässä diplomityössä esitellään SME-viestintäjärjestelmä keskittyen sen WAP-palveluun ja WAP-palvelun toteuttamisessa käytettyihin tekniikoihin. Diplomityön työosuutena on SME-viestintäjärjestelmän WAP-palvelun toteuttaminen.

Mobile device has rapidly changed from merely a talk device to a versatile communications device, which enables different communication methods for a large group of world’s people. Nowadays mobile service development is possible also for other parties than mobile device manufacturers. This master’s thesis introduces a communication and person search service for mobile users which is implemented by a mobile operator and which combines personnel search and several communication methods into a one mobile service. The mobile service introduced by this master’s thesis is implemented with WAP technology. The mobile service is part of a TeliaSonera developed SME communication system (Smart Messaging Exchange) which aims to pilot communication and presence services. This master’s thesis introduces SME communication system and concentrates on WAP mobile service and on the technologies needed to implement this WAP service. The work part of this master’s thesis contains the implementation of SME WAP mobile service.
