Moniprotokollapalveluiden luontiympäristö

Tieto- ja teleliikenneverkkojen konvergenssi on tuonut uusia vaatimuksia palvelukehitysympäristöille ja aiheuttanut haasteita ympäristöjen kehitykselle. Moderneilla palvelukehitysympäristöillä on pystyttävä tuottamaan nopeasti monimutkaisia ja samalla varmatoimisia palveluja. Lisäksi moniprotokollapalveluiden luontiympäristöjen on mukauduttava uusiin olosuhteisiin, jotta palveluntarjoajat pysyisivät kilpailukykyisinä. Tämän työn tarkoituksena oli etsiä menetelmiä ja apuvälineitä nopeaan ja luotettavaan konvergoivissa verkoissa tarjottavien palveluiden luontiin. Työssä tutustuttiin markkinoilla oleviin palvelukehitysympäristöihin ja esiteltiin Intellitel OSN:n palvelukehitysympäristö ja sen palvelunluontimalli, joka tukee palvelunkehitystä läpi koko palvelunluontiprosessin. Työn käytäntöosuudessa parannettiin Intellitelin palvelunluontimallia ja palvelukehitysympäristön tarjoamia työkaluja ja apuohjelmia. Työssä toteutettiin Intellitelin palvelukehitysympäristöllä vaiheittain palvelunluontimallin mukaisesti numeronmuunnospalvelu.

Data- and telecommunication network convergence has brought forth new requirements for service programming environments and created new challenges for the environments' development. Modern service creation environments must be capable of producing complex and trustworthy services rapidly. Additionally, multiprotocol service programming environments must adapt to new requirements so that service providers can remain competitive. This Master's thesis purpose was the investigation of methods and tools to speed up and ease the programming of deployment services in converged networks. This document presents the existing service programming environments and introduces Intellitel OSN's Service Programming Environment (SPE) and its service programming model, which supports the service creation process throughout the whole service lifecycle, from the design phase to the deployment. The Master's thesis practical work improved Intellitel's service programming model and SPE's current production tools and accessories. The result was the implemention of a number translation service as an addition to the SPE's service programming model.
