Strategisesti tärkeän tuotteen toimitusvarmuussuunnitelma

Suolahappo kuuluu peruskemianteollisuuden tuotteisiin ja on monen eri kemianteollisuuden tuotteen raaka-aine, jota ilman tuotantoprosessi keskeytyy. Suolahapontuottajia on vain muutama Suomessa ja näiden tuottajien varassa toimii lukuisia jatkojalostusteollisuuslaitoksia. Työssä lähdettiin kehittämään suolahapontoimitusvarmuutta logistiikan keinoin. Toimitusvarmuutta haluttiin kehittää sesonkivaihteluiden ja tuotantokatkosten aikana. Työssä etsitään sopiva sesonkivarastointikapasiteetti ja varmuusvarastotaso sekä järkevä sijainti varastolle. Varastointia kehitetään kuljetukset ja tuotannon luonne huomioiden. Työn alussa esitellään yritys ja tuotantoprosessi. Tämän jälkeen analysoidaan kysyntätietoja ja kasataan ongelmat toimitusvarmuudessa. Näiden pohjalta lähdetään kehittämään teoriapohjaisia ratkaisuvaihtoehtoja, jonka jälkeen ne sovelletaan yritykselle sopivaan muotoon. Työn tuloksena saatiin esitys varastointitarpeesta sekä siitä aiheutuvista kustannuksista. Työssäesitetään myös järkevä varaston sijainti ja soveltuva kuljetuskäytäntö tähän varastoon.

Hydrochloric acid is a part of the basic products of chemical industry and it is a starting material for many chemical products and without it, the production process would be stopped. There is only a few hydrochloric acid producers in Finland, whose supply is essential for numerous upgraged product industries. In this study delivery reliability of hydrochloric acid is beeing improved by logistics means. It was desired that delivery reliability would be improved during seasonal demand and production stoppages. In this study there will be found suitable seasonal stocking capacity, safetystock level and additionally a suitable location for a warehouse. Warehousing is beeingdeveloped by recognising transportation and the nature of the production. The case company is introduced in the beginning of this study. After introduction, demand data is analyzed and current problems in delivery reliability are gathered and introduced. From this base theoretic problem solving options are presented and applied for this case company. As a result of this study, stocking needs and forthcoming costs were found. There is also presented a suitable location for a warehouse and suitable transportation custom into this warehouse.
