The Coherence of the European Foreign Policy: A Real Barrier or an Academic Term?

The purpose of the present study is to break down, in a general and summarised way, the concept of the coherence of the European Foreign Policy, in order to analyse its meaning, its scope and its implications. This focus on coherence will be specifically dealt with upon the analysis of the impact of this phenomenon on single institutional framework, as defined by the Treaty on European Union.

El propòsit d'aquest estudi és analitzar, d'una manera general i resumida, el concepte de la coherència de la política exterior europea, per tal d'analitzar el significat, l'abast i les seves implicacions. Aquest èmfasi en la coherència es tracta específicament sobre l'anàlisi dels efectes d'aquest fenomen sobre el marc institucional únic, tal com es defineix per la Tractat de la Unió Europea.
