A teoria ideal da justiça num mundo não ideal

Partindo da distinção entre teoria ideal e teoria não ideal, pretendemos neste trabalho abordar o problema da aplicabilidade prática de teorizações políticas de cariz ideal. Para tal, começaremos por analisar os principais argumentos que põem em causa a aplicabilidade da teoria ideal, e que, consequentemente põem em causa a sua inoperância para a tarefa de encontrar soluções exequíveis para um mundo mais justo. A partir da análise de vários argumentos realçados por vários autores, discutiremos de que modo a teoria ideal poderá revelar-se um contributo efetivo para o delineamento de políticas que visem o combate à injustiça, e quais as suas possíveis limitações para este fim, o que implica também a importância de perceber que relação deve ser estabelecida entre a teoria ideal e a teoria não ideal para implementar uma teoria da justiça eficaz.

Starting from the distinction between ideal theory and nonideal theory, in this work we will address the problem of practical applicability of ideal-oriented political theories. In order to do this, we will start by analysing the main arguments that call into question the applicability of ideal theory, and consequently call into question its ineffectiveness to the task of finding achievable solutions for a fairer world. By analysing several arguments stressed by several authors, we will discuss how ideal theory may prove to be effective to help designing policies that can fight injustice, and what their potential limitations for this purpose are, which also implies the importance of understanding which relationship must be established between ideal and nonideal theory to carry out an effective theory of justice.
