A presente dissertação intitulada Materializar afetos: entre universos e registos da memória familiar burguesa e os seus usos sociais trata as dinâmicas da memória familiar burguesa e todo o seu universo simbólico e material. Os afetos são desconstruídos dando lugar à análise da oralidade e da conservação dos objetos herdados pela família. Estudámos como se mantém viva a memória familiar de tempos passados, assim como a identidade social da família. Procurámos perceber onde se apoia e que contornos toma, através de uma análise sobre a casa e os seus interiores, assim como da fotografia e dos postais ilustrados.

This dissertation entitled Materialising affections: between bourgeoisie family memory universes and records and its social uses covers the bourgeoisie family memory dynamics and all its symbolic and material universe. The affections are deconstructed and make way to an analysis of the oral aspects and the family inherited objects conservation. It was studied how the family memory was kept alive in the times past as well as the social identity of the family. It was tried to perceive what are the contours and where does it find its support through an analysis about the home and its interiors, as well as photographs and illustrated postcards.
