A reestruturação da fracção medieval da base de dados descritiva da Colecção Cronológica do Arquivo Distrital de Braga

O presente trabalho intitulado A Reestruturação da Fração Medieval da Base de Dados Descritiva da Colecção Cronológica do Arquivo Distrital de Braga corresponde ao relatório de estágio no âmbito do Mestrado em História que decorreu no Arquivo Distrital de Braga. O objeto de intervenção, durante a realização do estágio, foi a parte medieval (séculos X-XV) da Base de Dados descritiva da Colecção Cronológica. Neste relatório narramos todo o processo de transformação da parte medieval da Base de Dados deste fundo documental. Esta reestruturação teve como principal objetivo reorganizar a referida Base de Dados descritiva com o propósito de a tornar mais prática, acessível e simples para os utilizadores. Para além de toda a contextualização dos capítulos introdutórios, será feita a explanação do processo de reestruturação efetuado onde se ressaltará, entre outros aspetos, os objetivos, a metodologia utilizada, bem como os resultados obtidos. Prende-se demonstrar, através deste relatório, de que forma o estágio realizado no Arquivo Distrital de Braga permitiu a resolução de um conjunto de importantes dificuldades que impossibilitavam o melhor entendimento da documentação medieval da Colecção Cronológica, ao mesmo tempo que assinalamos a descoberta de nova problemáticas cuja resolução pode, no futuro, tornar ainda mais completa e correta a informação transmitida por esse fundo documental.

This work, entitled The Restructuring of Medieval fraction of the Descriptive data base of Chronological Collection of the Braga’s District Archive corresponds to the internship report under the History Masters held at Braga’s Archive. The work object, during the internship, was the medieval part (X-XV centuries) descriptive data base of the Chronological Collection. In this report we present in full detail the entire process of transformation of the medieval part of the database of the documental reserve. The main objective of this restructuring was to reorganize the descriptive data base in order to make it more practical, affordable and simple for users. Besides all the contextualization of the introductory chapters, the explanation of the restructuring process will be carried out where it will highlight, among other things, the objectives, the methodology used and the results obtained. It is intended to demonstrate by this report, how the research at the District Archive of Braga allowed the resolution of a number of important difficulties that disabled a better understanding of medieval documentation of Chronological Collection, while we note the new discovery problems whose resolution could in future become even more complete and accurate information conveyed by this documental reserve.
